Teen Advisory Board
Represent Your Interests! If YOU don’t, who will?
Applications for the 2013-2014 school year will be available after August 1, 2013 at the library in the Teen Area.
The Mason Public Library Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is for young adults who would like a more active role in decisions regarding book selection and programming for their age group. Young adults in grades 7 through 12 may participate. Applications are taken in August and the first meeting is in September.
TAB also takes an active role in making the library a better place for teens to visit and find what they need. This board is open to young adults in grades 7 through 12 who live in Mason or Deerfield Township. Members make suggestions on which books, CDs, movies, magazines, and programming the library might offer to our young adult patrons.
TAB meets on the first Monday of the month from 6:00-6:45PM September through May with the exception of September when we will meet on the second Monday because of the holiday.
The board is a fun way to meet the community service requirements of your school, if applicable. Membership also looks good on resumes and college applications. Miss Alice Beresford, Youth Services Librarian, coordinates TAB.
