Getting a Library Card
If you have never had a card at the Mason Public Library, getting one is easy. The staff will need to see an official document which displays your current address. This could be your driver’s license, a utility bill, a checkbook, etc. If you do not have an ID with your current address, we will issue a card that will then be mailed to you.
If a child does not have an ID, his/her parents or guardians may provide theirs. Children must be able to print both first and last name to be eligible for a card. The parent(s) of children under 14 must be present to sign a child’s application.
Cards are renewed annually.
If you forget your library card when visiting the library, you may use a picture ID to check out books. You may only use a picture ID one time before you must purchase a replacement card.
